The Official Announcement of the New Merchants Ui by the Resident Evil Team, the Release Date, and More

A friendly Ganado that decides to help Leon Kennedy on his quest to rescue Ashley Graham, the President’s daughter, serves as the official announcement of the new Merchants UI by the Resident Evil team.

As of right now, it appears that the merchant’s job will mostly mirror that of the first game, which involved selling Leon goods and things as well as upgrading his arsenal. Leon’s inventory space could be expanded by The Merchant by purchasing larger attaché cases, which will undoubtedly make a comeback in the Resident Evil 4 remake.

The main Resident Evil Twitter account has published a picture of The Merchant’s user interface.

The top-left corner shows how much money and tradeable goods Leon has in his inventory. The purchase, sell, and tune-up features from the first Resident Evil 4 are also present. Leon will be able to exchange a special currency, which from the screenshot seems like pink gemstones, for exclusive goods like more treasures, a red dot sight, and the Punisher handgun, which also is coming from the first game. Although there will undoubtedly be significant modifications in the Resident Evil 4 remake, it seems like the Merchant will only be enhanced.

The way the player is presented with the shop is a significant shift, even though the functioning of the merchant’s shop seems to be unchanged from the original game and has only been slightly enlarged.

Compared to the first game, Merchant seems to be more involved. There were only three grey regions to choose from for purchasing, selling, or upgrading in the initial version of the system; the Merchant was not available. Related to the Duke in Resident Evil Village, who performed the same role as the Merchant in that game, he appears onscreen and has more conversation in the remake.

It’s obvious Capcom is focused on finding ways to bring back every character from Resident Evil 4 in faithful yet contemporary ways, n’t only making a game like the Resident Evil 2 or Resident Evil 3 remakes. With the Merchant confirmed to be returning, along with his iconic “stranger” line.

Launch dates for Resident Evil 4 for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S are March 24, 2023.
