The Avengers, Deadpool 3, Blade, and New release dates have been set for Secret Wars. For reasons that the company is aware of, the upcoming Marvel Studios films will be released slightly later than anticipated.
Phase 5 of the MCU, also known as the Multiverse Saga, includes Deadpool 3 and Blade. Meanwhile, the Avengers and the Fantastic Four: Phase 6 is made up of the Secret Wars. Deadpool 3, Blade, Fantastic Four, and Avengers: Secret Wars have been given new release dates
- Blade:6 September 2024 (formerly 3 November 2023)
- Deadpool 3:The 8th of November 2024 (previously the 6th of September 2024)
- Fantastic Four:14 February 2025 (formerly 8 November 2024)
- Avengers: Secret Wars: May 1, 2026, (instead of November 7, 2025)
Currently, the Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, the first movie in the Multiverse Saga about the Avengers, will continue to be released on May 2, 2025, as planned. This indicates that the two Avengers films will not be released simultaneously.
It’s possible that Marvel Studios is attempting to avoid rushing these highly anticipated films by changing the release dates. The Marvel Cinematic Universe will see the first appearance of the aforementioned characters in the films Blade, Deadpool, and Fantastic Four. As a result, their debut needs to be flawless. The delay in the Blade movie has undoubtedly impacted other upcoming Marvel Studios projects.
Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool, recently confirmed that Huge Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine in the upcoming Deadpool 3 movie. The mutant was last portrayed by Jackman in Logan.
In the meantime, a new Blade movie starring Mahershala Ali was set to come out in November 2023. However, Bassam Tariq, the film’s director, quit last month, forcing Marvel to halt production until a new director is found.
About the upcoming Fantastic Four movie, very little is known at this time. The Fantastic Four reboot’s director, Matt Shakman, was revealed last month. Shakman was the director of the Disney+ series WandaVision in the past. However, the plot and cast of the Fantastic Four are still a mystery.
Last but not least, the two upcoming Avengers films will conclude the Multiverse Saga. It all starts with the Avengers: As the title suggests, The Kang Dynasty will focus on the Avengers’ fight against Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathon Majors. Majors has already played Kang in the Disney+ series Loki, and he is expected to play the “Warrior” version of Kang in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Film Quantumania.
