Bo Nix, the son of former Auburn quarterback and NFL player Pat Nix, was born and raised in Auburn, Alabama.

He was a highly touted recruit coming out of high school, and was ranked as a four-star prospect by most major recruiting outlets. Nix chose to play his college football for the Auburn Tigers, the team his father played for.

Early Push In The e Career And Success 

Nix was a backup quarterback for his first two years at Auburn, behind Jarrett Stidham. He saw action in seven games as a freshman in 2017, completing 9-of-16 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown. He played in four games as a sophomore, completing 5-of-9 passes for 42 yards. Nix took over as the starter for his junior season in 2019. He threw for 2,542 yards and 16 touchdowns, leading Auburn to an 8-5 record and a win in the Music City Bowl.

As a senior in 2020, Nix threw for 2,733 yards and 20 touchdowns, helping Auburn to a 9-3 record and a spot in the Sugar Bowl. Nix was named First Team All-SEC by the league’s coaches. He finished his career with 7,298 passing yards and 50 touchdown passes.

Nix was drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals with the No. 11 overall pick. He became the first Auburn quarterback to be drafted in the first round since Cam Newton in 2011.

Izzy Smoke was born in Mobile, Alabama, and raised in Auburn, Alabama. Smoke is of mixed African-American and Caucasian descent. Smoke began playing football when he was eight years old. He played quarterback and wide receiver in youth football.

Smoke played high school football for the Auburn High School Tigers. He was a four-star recruit coming out of high school and was ranked as the No. 9 wide receiver in the nation by 247Sports.com. Smoke chose to play his college football for the Auburn Tigers, the team his father played for.

Career

Smoke was a backup wide receiver for his first two years at Auburn, behind Sammie Coates and Ricardo Louis. He saw action in 11 games as a freshman in 2013, catching four passes for 29 yards.

He played in 12 games as a sophomore, catching nine passes for 147 yards and a touchdown. Smoke took over as the starting wide receiver for his junior season in 2015. He caught 46 passes for 717 yards and five touchdowns, helping Auburn to an 8-5 record and a win in the Birmingham Bowl.

As a senior in 2016, Smoke caught 44 passes for 734 yards and four touchdowns, helping Auburn to an 8-5 record and a spot in the Sugar Bowl. Smoke finished his career with 143 catches for 2,293 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Smoke was drafted in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers with the No. 232 overall pick. He became the first Auburn wide receiver to be drafted since 2014.

Smoke has played three seasons for the Panthers, catching 61 passes for 904 yards and six touchdowns.
