Brittany was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and her family later moved to Edison, New Jersey. Murphy was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 10, 1977.
Brittany started her acting career as a teenager and landed her first big role in the 1995 blockbuster movie Clueless. She went on to star in several films throughout her career, including Girl, Interrupted, 8 Mile, and Sin City.
