Tragically, the Beloved Kirby Morrow Passed Away at 47 Due to Mental Health-related Issues.

Hollywood lost one of its best actors of all time in December 2018, and it has taken many months to mourn his death. As always, this incident had an impact not only on Hollywood but also on people around the world.

This case was especially hard for those who are recovering from substance abuse. However, it is necessary to pay attention to the circumstances of such loss. In this article, we will take you through what happened to Kirby Morrow and how he died.

Kirby Morrow Facts

Kirby Morrow was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in 1961. His birth name was Bruce James Wright, and from childhood, he called himself K.W. Wright or Kirby. When he was younger, he used nicknames such as “King of Kings” and “King of Queens” because that’s what he wanted to be called.

From the age of 12, he started working at McDonald’s and worked several different jobs before going to university in 1991. While studying, he met Jeffery Bellamy, whom he got along well with because they both loved sports.

After college, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and ended up signing a deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment to become a part of their famous hit film Fastball. In 1995, The Fastball came out and catapulted Kirby into stardom. Unfortunately, according to TMZ, Bellamy became abusive towards him, which resulted in his divorce and leaving the movie industry entirely in 1999.

When Not Exercising

After divorcing his wife and moving back home to Toronto where he still lived with relatives, Kirby decided to spend most of his days drinking alcohol and using drugs. At first, it was just to ease stress and stay awake, but he soon developed a habit of drinking so much that he needed help with other substances such as marijuana.

Over time, however, he became afraid that being in public would result in someone finding out about his drug abuse. So instead, he avoided getting drunk and staying away from other people to avoid detection.

Since then, Kirby began drinking heavily again, although some of it was due to having anxiety attacks and sleeping problems, then his excessive use increased, resulting in depression as well as weight gain, which caused even more health issues.

By 2019, he had gained 20 pounds, which triggered a complete change in his personality. His relationship with others got worse, and his former friends found it difficult to communicate with him anymore. He eventually committed suicide on November 18, 2020.

Why Did Kirby Become An Alcoholic?

Kirby developed a serious problem with alcohol which led to numerous health complications. In addition to high-risk sexual behaviors and risky driving habits, he also received many social stigmas associated with drug abuse.

For instance, TMZ reported in 2009 that the man had become disheartened by the fame he received. According to USA Today, this issue came up in 2002, when Keith Richards’ friend Michael Jackson and musician Nelly Furtado found out that Kirb had been abusing drugs.
