For fans of Ocean’s 11 or Mission Impossible, the upcoming official Dungeons and Dragons book is a collection of heist-themed adventures.
Keys from the Golden Vault, the first official Dungeons and Dragons book for 2023, is now available for pre-order for TTRPG fans. There are a lot of one-time heists in this new Dungeons and Dragons adventure that can be played in any campaign setting.
An adventure anthology similar to Candlekeep Mysteries and Journeys through the Radiant Citadel is Keys from the Golden Vault. 13 separate heists for Dungeons and Dragons characters in levels 1 through 11 are included in this new sourcebook.
Either a one-time adventure or these heists can be easily added to a lengthy Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Each of these mini-missions has multiple paths to success and can be easily adapted to new settings or played in D&D settings like Eberron or the Sword Coast.

The first of five books that Dungeons and Dragons intend to publish in 2023 is titled Keys from the Golden Vault. Bigby Presents Expectations for Players The Book of Many Things in the summer and Glory of the Giants in the spring.
Both a Planescape campaign setting and the Phandelver Campaign are currently scheduled for the fall. One D&D—Dungeons and Dragons’ timeless update to 5th Edition—is also scheduled to be released in early 2024.
Cracking open the Keys from the Golden Vault and seeing what’s inside piques the interest of players. Fans are hoping that Keys from the Golden Vault will be just as good as the previous anthologies, which featured some of Dungeons and Dragons’ best-written and inclusive adventures.
Thematic similarities between this new adventure anthology and Dungeons and Dragons were also noticed by many players: The movie Honor Among Thieves will be released at the end of March.
However, selling a large number of Keys to the Golden Vault copies may be difficult for Dungeons and Dragons. For the majority of January, Wizards of the Coast was involved in a dispute regarding the future of the Open Game License in Dungeons and Dragons. Although it recently gave in and promised to keep the Dungeons and Dragons OGL as it is, it damaged the community’s trust significantly.
Keys to the Golden Vault sales may suffer as a result of the fact that some players may not be quick to forgive Wizards of the Coast. However, the sourcebook can be pre-ordered for $30 through a local game store or D&D Beyond for players who are interested in purchasing it.
Dungeons and Dragons: The Golden Vault Keys are available on February 21.
