By now, we all know that Samsung will soon be launching a new range of Smartphones under the Galaxy brand. It has been rumored for some time that Samsung’s next mobile phone would use glass Victus as its protective layer against drops and scratches.
Recently, we have also seen images of a device using this latest technology in which it looks like there is no scratch or smudge left behind from any drop.
We are just a few days away from the flagship launch event of Samsung. The South Korean smartphone maker is all set to launch its Galaxy S23 series of smartphones on February 1 at the company’s first Galaxy Unpacked event.
But unfortunately, we don’t have more news about Samsung’s upcoming gadgets as yet, but we can tell you what is coming into our own hands from the last few months.
One of the most popular devices within the mobile industry right now is the iPhone 13 Pro Max. It was launched in October 2021 with a 6-inch (16:9) Super Retina display that has an almost perfect refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and boasts one of the highest pixel densities at 3,200ppi.
However, when Apple announced its next generation iPhone 13 lineup in May 2022 which includes a new MagSafe charging system, this year’s camera upgrade, larger batteries, and much more, many believe that iPhone won’t look so good after this update.
After rumors surfaced regarding a possible return to the foldable form factor, people began speculating that maybe the next iteration of “the iPhone 14 will feature a smaller size and less thickness, making it easier to carry around.
Of course, it’s not completely off the table since Apple still has plans to make its next version of iPhones bigger and thicker.
But at least it looks like future iterations are going to keep their design philosophy of keeping the body thinner while maintaining traditional features such as Touch ID. According to rumors, both models might adopt small punch holes on the front which could eventually result in dual cameras, triple sensors, etc.
Of course, if everything seems fine to everyone, then the question is – If these reports are accurate, would they happen? Well, according to recent rumors, there are already several prototypes of designs that resemble these new variants, though nothing is confirmed so far.
One of the biggest leaks related to the Galaxy S23 series is how the screen will be made wider. Rumors suggest that the same approach used to build current versions of Android phones, in which each edge-to-edge panel is only a little bit taller than other ones, will finally be used for the screens on top of the Galaxy S23 series.
This may mean that there would be two sets of displays – either a side view or a slightly rounded type, similar to how the Pixel 6 Pro does. And according to the leaks, there would even be a way higher resolution than the existing display.
It looks like Samsung might choose from 4K, 5K, 10K, or 11.1K display sizes depending upon which model is released. At present, most probably phones available in the United States come with a 4K resolution or something close to this.
But I expect Samsung to go beyond this to increase the screen resolution to fit its curved display.
Another leak suggests that we will see four different colors for a galaxy s23, black, blue, green, and violet depending upon the variant. This could potentially work out fine because all the color options available in today’s market are limited to three.
Now, in case Samsung decides to go that old-school route again, there are possibilities that the next version may have only red, white, gold, or some kind of silver.
With high demand rates, Samsung is preparing several variants of its new line of flagship smartphones and possibly releasing several models for this reason. It is expected that the best-performing model would receive lots of hype by being based on the latest tech in the market.
