Jacqueline Dena Guber is an award-winning journalist and broadcast producer with more than 15 years of experience. Guber has traveled across the world to report on some of the most influential and noteworthy stories. Her work has appeared on CNN, Fox News, Bloomberg News, ABC News, NPR, and the Huffington Post, among other outlets.

A Los Angeles native, Guber is a graduate of the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California, where she also studied Spanish and Portuguese. After spending a summer as a reporter in São Paulo, Brazil, Guber realized she wanted to be a foreign correspondent, a career that ultimately led her to Washington D.C., London, and even remote war zones in Iraq, Pakistan, and Syria.

While in D.C., Guber earned an internship at ABC’s Nightline, which later turned into a staff position. At Nightline, Guber had the privilege of interviewing a wide range of powerful individuals, including President Barack Obama, who spoke candidly with her during a live broadcast in 2010.

Guber’s experiences overseas during wartime influenced her award-winning television segment, Women of Afghanistan, which ran on CNN in 2010. The segment featured women who were defying cultural norms by attending college and going to work, oftenin areas where such behavior was frowned upon or illegal.

Most recently, Guber has returned to her home city to become the senior producer of content at eNews Productions, Inc. There, she is in charge of covering current events and news stories. Guber has also worked to develop, launch and execute the production of multi-platform programs.

Today, Guber resides in Los Angeles and continues to travel in search of stories to tell. Her latest focus is the opioid crisis, a battle that is changing the nation and the world, which she hopes to tackle through investigative pieces and films.

Guber is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Siren Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund focused on women and non-binary founders. In addition, Guber has invested in and served as an advisor to multiple early-stage startups. She also serves on several corporate and non-profit boards, including Disney’s ABC Family Channel, PicoCuisine, Stage23, and Citizen Jane Films.

Guber is a passionate advocate for increasing female representation in tech and is a vocal supporter of early-stage technology. Guber also produces a variety of live events for investors and entrepreneurs to facilitate meaningful connections and share stories of success and failure. Guber is a best-selling author with her books Girls Go Technology: Building New Ventures and Growth Teams, A Book About Boys & Technology and Boys Go Mobile.
