From an early age, he was fascinated by motorcycles and outlaw culture, and by the time he started attending school, his intellect and rebellious attitude had already set him apart from his peers.
He used to surf frequently when he was younger. When one of George’s surfing friends pulled up to the beach on a Harley-Davidson, he knew what he had to do. He paid $200 for a 1957 Panhead in 1966, over his father’s reservations. He quickly began hanging out with the Question Marks, a notorious motorcycle customization team from Ventura, as well as Von Dutch and Dick Woods.
