Evolve has been around in the gaming industry a while now. The game is based on FPS and is packed with multiplayer adrenaline where you have to fight monsters. evolve was launched on February the 10th, 2015 for the PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
Since the launch of the game the player base has been decreasing at a steady rate from a very slow peak of 27,000 to 7000. However, before everything was over the developers, Turtle Rock Studios took an excellent step to announce the beta version of the game for free on Steam. The Developers we shocked by the massive player base exploding from a mere 2703 players to this enormous amount of players(approx. 368,000). The Chris Anton and Phil Robb came out and explained their strategies. (Source)
“As part of our promise to recapture the magic and improve the Evolve experience across-the-board, we’re going to ratchet up our communication with the community. We will be continually updating our social channels, our forums and our website to let you know how it’s going. We have lived and breathed Evolve for over four years and we feel like we are just getting started. Since launch we realized Evolve has provided people some of their most exciting gaming moments and we want to make more of those for everyone… well, everyone who is OK with being periodically murdered (brutally) by terrifying alien monsters“(Source)
We have been seeing murmurings all over the internet about the player base exponentially increasing but we don’t think this will stop anytime soon. The deal is open to all PC users. However the game is still available to purchase on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One We’ll have to until next week to find out.
