New Fallout Game Coming? – Devs Registered Trademark of Fallout: New Orleans

Fallout 4 was released in November 2015 and it is a massive success. The game is developed and published by Bethesda Game Studios. Not so much time has passed since the release of Fallout 4. Most people haven’t even played its DLCs that Bethesda added on later, such as Far Harbor and Contraptions Workshop. But well, even this early, we’re starting to see news about the next possible Fallout game, called Fallout: New Orleans.

As you can see here, the trademark of Fallout: New Orleans got registered on EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office). This is a solid hint that suggests that the developers are working on a new Fallout game. This could be an upcoming Fallout game developed Obsidian Entertainment, such as Fallout: New Vegas.

But still, not much time has passed since the release of the latest installment in the series, Fallout 4. The Fallout: New Vegas released about 2 years after Fallout 3. So, judging from that, we can say that Fallout: New Orleans is in development but it is not coming anytime soon.

Bethesda is going to keep the fan-base of Fallout 4 up by releasing new content for the game and Fallout 4 is going to be the newest title in the Fallout franchise for at least another year.

Bethesda is also working on Fallout 4’s VR version, which is going to launch next year. So, it makes sense that while Bethesda is busy on Fallout 4 VR, Obsidian Entertainment is working on Fallout: New Orleans.

Judging from the name, it seems like the Fallout: New Orleans is set in New Orleans, a city in Louisiana, near the Gulf of Mexico.

If a new Fallout game is in development, more details will eventually come out as time goes by. Till then, stay tuned to GeeksULTD for more news.

    • That would be pretty cool, but I guess they don’t want a landscape that feels too much like Skyrim when you’re outside of the city maybe. I like Fallout but nuclear wastelands kind of bore me, hopefully New Orleans is a more entertaining wasteland.
