Sony, today, released a new firmware update for their PlayStation 4 console. The new update 4.05 is a minor update to the original firmware 4.0, which released a few months ago.
PlayStation 4 Software Update 4.05 Out Now, Increases System Performance
According to the changelog, the new update increases the performance of the system and improves stability. To update your PlayStation 4 to the new 4.05 firmware, you will need to download around 297 Megabytes of data. The new PS4 update 4.05 is available in all regions and all PlayStation 4 consoles should receive this update. However, if you don’t, you can go to the settings menu on your PS4 to manually check for updates.
