The PlayStation 4 Pro recently arrived and in my opinion, it is a pretty good console. For a $100 more than the PlayStation 4 Slim, the PS4 Pro provides much better performance than the base PS4. The PS4 Pro is capable of running games at 4K resolution and some titles at 1080p 60FPS. However, the Pro doesn’t run many games on “Native 4K resolution”, it upscales to 4K in a majority of the games. Also, the PS4 Pro lacks a 4K Blu-Ray player, so it is getting some negative feedback from the community.
Microsoft recently launched the Xbox One S as a refresh of the original Xbox One. But, their high-performance console, the Xbox Scorpio, is still in the works. The Xbox Scorpio is scheduled to arrive in 2017.
Xbox Exec Fires Shots at PlayStation 4 Pro, says Xbox Scorpio will Deliver “Really True 4K”
Today, at Xbox FanFest event in Mexico, Xbox Executive Aaron Greenberg said:
“It will bring these really true 4K, really incredible visual games that we’ve never seen before on the console.”
Now, looking at the “really true 4K” statement, Greenberg is definitely firing shots at the PS4 Pro. Greenberg stated that the Xbox Scorpio will provide “true 4K” and incredible visuals.
Xbox is known for firing shots at PlayStation via Tweets and statements. For example, when the mod support of Fallout 4 and Skyrim was cancelled for PS4, Major Nelson of Xbox tweeted “ICYMI: Xbox One owners have been enjoying @Fallout 4 mods since May.”
So yeah, as usual, Xbox taunted PlayStation this time too. Everything will be clear when the Xbox Scorpio launches next year. It seems that the Xbox Scorpio will be faster than the PS4 Pro and it will probably provide “really true 4K” too. But, the price is a big factor. For more, keep it locked on GeeksULTD.
