The budget-friendly mid-range phone of the Asus ZenFone series is the ZenFone Go. We reviewed the ZenFone Go back in July 2016 and it was a great budget smartphone. Asus didn’t launch any successor to the original ZenFone Go. However, it seems like the Asus ZenFone Go 2 is on the way, according to the TENAA documentation.
An unannounced Asus smartphone with model number “ASUS_X015D” got spotted on the Chinese regulatory commission website, called TENAA. This is the successor of the original Asus ZenFone Go, which had the model number “ASUS_X014D”.
On TENAA, the specifications and pictures of the ZenFone Go 2 are also listed. The phone will come in two variants, one will have 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and the other variant will have 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Full specifications of the phone aren’t revealed yet. Only a few of the specifications are listed at TENAA, these are:
- Display: 5.5-inch 720p HD display.
- RAM: 3GB/4GB.
- Storage: 32GB/64GB.
- Processor: Octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz.

As you can see above, the pictures show an Asus smartphone with dual camera sensors. According to other reports, the Asus ZenFone Go 2 will pack a massive 4,850mAh battery and it will come with Android 7.0 Nougat installed.
