Huawei Starts Heavily Investing In Artificial Intelligence And Continues To Excite Young Millennials

Huawei has been booming recently with their platoon of smartphones in 2017. With the release of their Honor 6X and Huawei P10, Huawei seems to be covering most of the price points to offer something new to those looking for a smartphone in 2017.

Last week, in Beijing, President of Huawei’s Honor division, Mr. George Zhao talked about how they are looking forward with their plans with their lineup of Honor smartphones. Huawei has been working on their Honor fleet of smartphones for more than a while now. Meanwhile their Huawei series of smartphones really aim to keep at the top and trade blows with other top-end smartphones.

At the keynote in Beijing, Mr. George Zhao talked about how their will be focusing on artificial intelligence. With him handling the Honor divison, he also talked about how they will be addressing and improving the camera and battery life of their smartphones. Here’s the key ideas he laid down at the Beijing keynote:

  • To address key customer concerns such as battery life and camera capabilities
  • To evolve products to better suit the younger generation’s demands
  • To incorporate fresh elements from the worlds of fashion, design and entertainment to create a trend-setting brand
  • To invest heavily in artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies for smartphone.

Until now, Huawei has reported some great success in 2017. As they report, Honor led in online sales volume among all smartphone brands in Q1 2017, where the brand achieved record sales of 10.52 million units in China.

With their P10 Plus covering the top-end of the smartphone specturn and the Honor 6X offering a dual-camera setup at an affordable price. Huawei is really strategically planning to take over certain price point in the market.
