Asmongold’s list of things he doesn’t like is growing longer. After adding NFTs and gambling, it now includes loot boxes as well!
When a Twitter user asked Asmongold about his thoughts on Lost Ark and its loot boxes, the talkative streamer didn’t hold back. He explained that he would never touch this new MMORPG because it has so much gambling in its gameplay with all these items you can buy just for chance or cash-up front prices ranging between $20-$100 dollars depending on how hard your want something specific like special equips which provide stat boosts when worn by certain characters within an organization’s realm (i think).

Asmongold was asked this during his stream and gave a very direct opinion.
“My opinion on loot boxes? They should not exist. That’s literally… That’s the whole opinion,” Asmongold said.
When asked about his opinion on loot boxes, Asmongold replied that they “simulate gambling” and appear to take advantage of people with gambling tendencies as well potentially vulnerable audiences such as children.
“Video games are marketed to people that are younger. It gets kids into a mentality of gambling that serves as a gateway towards actual gambling whenever they become older,” Asmongold said.
“I don’t want them to exist at all.” This is how Asmongold, a player and designer for League of Legends responded when asked about loot boxes. He later added that all cosmetic items should be available in-game with set prices instead of being sold as microtransactions through the store where players can only access them if they pay extra money or go through an outside source like Amazon Prime Video Game Services Partnership Program which offers ‘Exclusive Deals’ such as discounts on games made by big studios but also smaller developers who may not have enough popularity yet so you’ll likely find something new every time!
