In an interview, actress Nicola Coughlan revealed that she once auditioned for the Netflix series Stranger Things. She said it was while they were filming Bridgerton ( Channel 4 ) and thought maybe they would need another actor who could do something different because her character is so similar to May Hawke’s Robinhood!
Coughlan said she has auditioned for several roles over the years, but never got them. One spot that seemed like it would be a perfect fit was playing Robin in Stranger Things- which eventually went to Maya Hawke after COUGHLIN infringement on her talent by taking up one too many minutes during filming with their auditions not very convincing or engaging at all…
This is a great lesson for actors. We all have to watch the stuff we don’t get because it will make sense when you know what happened was just miscommunication and luck!
