In addition to artificial intelligence, search engine optimization, internet advertising, cloud computing, computer software, quantum computing, e-commerce, and consumer electrical products, Google LLC is an American multinational technology corporation.

As a result of its market domination, data collecting, and technological advantages in artificial intelligence, it has been referred to as the “most powerful firm in the world” by some.

Along with Amazon, Apple, Meta, and Microsoft, it is regarded as one of the Big Five of the United States’ information technology industry.

Google was started by Larry Page and Sergey Brin on September 4, 1998, when they were Ph.D. students in California at Stanford University. In all, they possess around 14% of the company’s publicly traded shares and control 56% of the shareholder voting power through super-voting stock.

Since then, the corporation has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). In 2015, Google was restructured as an Alphabet Inc. wholly-owned subsidiary.

Although Google’s app store will no longer allow call-recording applications, users will still be able to access them. This is because Android, unlike Apple’s iOS, is an open operating system that allows users to access apps from other shops. It’s known as sideloading, but experts say it’s dangerous for customers since it exposes them to security and privacy issues.

It is still possible to use Samsung and Xiaomi devices that have built-in call recording features. Customers who use Samsung or Xiaomi phones with their custom diallers will still be able to record the same way they did before, regardless of the phone’s manufacturer.

In a recent developer webinar, Google made it clear that the ban does not apply to apps that already have native call recording capabilities.

Google Phone, Mi Dialer, and other default dialer applications feature built-in call recording capability on specified devices. According to 9to5Google, the default dialer applications on devices such as Pixel and Xiaomi smartphones would not be affected by the change.
