With over 150 champions on the League of Legends roster, it’s no surprise Riot Games has to continually refresh and update older characters. One such champion for a CGU (comprehensive gameplay update) is Aurelion Sol who was announced in this latest roadmap from them along with other upcoming releases which will be coming soon!
When Riot Games first started updating the graphics and models of their older Champions, they did so to provide players with more interesting content. As time progressed though it became increasingly difficult for them because many people loved seeing these classic characters get an upgrade while also not being too far behind when compared to newer releases from other companies like Blizzard Entertainment or Square Enix Ltd (The Pokémon Company). This is why we have Aurelion Sol: A character who has proven himself popular despite not having any special abilities outside what one would expect based on his design-everyone loves talking about how
He has the power of an all-knowing star forging dragon. However, his gameplay can be difficult and demanding due to its precision requirements as well high skill ceiling that locks away potential power levels until you learn how best to navigate its system
I found myself in front row seats during this performance; surrounded by others who were equally captivated – if not more so than I was at times!
As the road map indicates,
Tons of you really loved and wanted to play a gigantic, arrogant star dragon. Unfortunately, we didn’t really deliver on a gameplay kit that matched that excitement, as most of you dropped him after just a few games. His playrate plummeted to one of the lowest in the game, where he has been ever since. That said, he still comes up in the top ten most liked visuals whenever we do champion surveys, even though his gameplay always ends up near the very bottom of the list. We’ve tried some small tweaks to ASol, but when we discussed what we should do to help him out, we came to the consensus that we should just start his gameplay over from scratch.
It’s time to get hyped for the newest champions! Riot revealed some of their plans in regards to humans, including an update on Void Empress champion who demands your total submission. They also shared details about Bilgewater’s oyster-loving brawler character and high-skill top lane tanks that hail from this ancient world – ShURLA!!! Aurelion Sol will be getting his rework at some point before year-end which is currently planned by design team members but still subject to change depending upon feedback received during testing sessions so keep watching closely because we’re never done figuring out how awesome YOU are (even though I think everyone knows).
