Book Club 2: the Girls Are All Set to Move Towards a New Adventure in Italy, Know the Twist

Must Read

The women behind “Book Club” are off to Italy for new adventures after finally cooling off after the scorching read that was “50 Shades of Grey.”

The commencement of production on “Book Club 2 — The Next Chapter,” a sequel to the sleeper 2018 comedy “Book Club,” has been confirmed by Focus Features, Endeavor Content, and Makeready. Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, and Mary Steenburgen reprise their roles as readers when they trade their living rooms for the splendors of Europe.

Andy Garcia, Don Johnson, and Craig T. Nelson, all of whom appeared in the original film, will join newcomers Giancarlo Giannini, Hugh Quarshie, and Vincent Riotta in the ensemble. Bill Holderman and Erin Simms wrote the script, and Holderman returns as director. In addition to acting as producers, the two will collaborate on the project.

The club’s trip goes off the tracks after secrets are uncovered, sending them on a “once-in-a-lifetime cross-country adventure,” according to the official description. Views will most likely be taken in, spaghetti and vino will most likely be drunk, and lessons will most likely be learned. Perhaps literature will play a role in all of this.
