At Twitchcon 2022, Amouranth Was the Most Popular Streamer. Here’s How

Amouranth has the most hours watched overall at a TwitchCon with some truly memorable moments captured on camera by streamers.

Amouranth, a streamer and content creator who is also one of the best and most controversial Twitch streamers, was the most-watched streamer at San Diego TwitchCon.The influencer and streamer were able to surpass other well-known Twitch streamers like HasanAbi and Sodapoppin to take the lead in terms of the most hours watched during the three-day event.

Amouranth has remained one of the most successful streamers on Twitch for several years, and she is currently the female streamer with the most viewers on the platform, despite receiving multiple bans from Twitch or perhaps because of those bans.

Amouranth has been subjected to harassment from overzealous fans and stalkers during her time as a streamer, as well as criticism from some viewers who dislike her frequently suggestive streams and feel that it undermines the gaming-focused origins of Twitch. Amouranth was even confronted by a number of stalkers at TwitchCon, as recently reported, highlighting the real risks associated with streaming success.

Amouranth managed to surpass the competition and take the top spot for the most hours watched during TwitchCon, according to a Tweet that was posted by the official account of Streams Charts, a company that offers statistical information about how many people watch content on various streaming platforms Amouranth’s viewers watched nearly 60,000 more hours of her stream than her closest competitor, with just under 436,000 hours watched over the three-day convention.

These enormous numbers come at a time when the streamer asserts that she is being censored on other platforms. Amouranth recently asserted that Twitter was censoring her posts.

Amouranth, on the other hand, did not always fare as well with the Twitch viewing audience when a breakdown of Twitch viewers was performed across a variety of metrics throughout the convention. Amouranth did not make it into the top 10 most-viewed streamers at TwitchCon, despite having the most hours watched overall and a peak viewership of just over 18,000. This year, in addition to meet-and-greets and booth tours, Twitch viewers also saw some unfortunate injuries streamed from the show floor. One example is when streamer Adriana Chechik broke her back live on stream in a Lenovo foam pit.

Amouranth has remained one of the most popular and divisive figures on Twitch despite numerous controversies on the platform and claims that the authorities are censoring her content elsewhere. Amouranth is likely to remain a fixture on the platform for the foreseeable future because it appears that both her admirers and detractors will continue to tune in to see what outrageous thing she does next. Additionally, Amouranth can always rely on the $8 million gas station he just purchased if streaming fails in the long run.
