Several embarrassing details concerning the purported romance among Good Morning America 3 co-anchors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have come to light over the past week. Their relationship, which was initially thought to be just an affair, was made public by 65 images that were published in the Daily Mail.
As fans combed social media for details and reporters perused half-marathon times and property sales statistics, there has been a rush of rumours about anything from previous affairs to how things are going at ABC behind the scenes. Since the claimed pair was fired from the programme, ABC management is still scrambling to come up with a solution.
T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, co-anchors of GMA3, have apparently been maintaining a low profile and avoiding one another while they wait to see whether they will both be back to present the programme.
While ABC makes a decision if it wants to take back T.J. Holmes, 45, and Amy Robach, 49, to host Good Morning America 3, they had also apparently avoided one another. According to people close to them, the suspected couple is now dating but keeps a low profile and may not collaborate going forward in order to avoid outrage should their relationship become public.
An insider revealed to Daily Mail on Tuesday,
While ABC is still deliberating, they wouldn’t dare to be seen together.
Although their marriages are no longer together, they still have kids to consider, and they don’t want to further endanger their futures with the network.
This week, it was revealed that the co-anchors would leave GMA3 for good after ABC News president Kim Godwin wrote to workers that they would continue to rotate anchors until they made a decision. In addition to looking into the connection between Holmes and Robach, ABC is looking into whether Holmes’ reported interactions with other workers were against ABC’s rules governing superiors and subordinates.
Due to an ongoing internal review, T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach might continue to be off the air.
The GMA3 anchors won’t be appearing on air while ABC News conducts an internal investigation into the off-air relationship between Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes. The ABC News co-hosts have been away from the air for weeks as a result of claims they cheated on their marriages since their connection became known in late November. A source claims that despite the network learning about Holmes and Robach’s apparent relationship, there has been no disciplinary action taken.
Amy and T.J.’s return updates to the anchor’s desk were mentioned in an email sent by ABC News president Kim Godwin, according to staff.
Within the email, Godwin wrote,
I am aware that the ongoing coverage occasionally takes attention away from the crucial work that our team at ABC News undertakes. There is a shift of anchors at GMA3 for the moment being, and Amy and T.J. will stay off-air until an internal review is finished.
I genuinely hope that we can continue to concentrate our efforts on the things we do best, and I want to express my sincere gratitude to each and every one of you for your dedication and expertise.
Holmes and Robach remained silent after the original accusations and pictures, deleted their Instagram accounts, and have since kept a low profile.
