Will Smith Recently Praised Rihanna for Her Enthusiastic Reaction to His New Film, Noting That She Couldn’t Get Over the Look of It.

At the 94th Academy Awards, Will Smith had a memorable evening. While the performer in him must have been thrilled to win the Oscar for best actor, the person in him suffered greater losses. It was the night he punched Chris Rock live on television, instantly turning him into one of the most despised public figures. The 54-year-old was scrutinized and the target of jokes for weeks following the incident in addition to receiving a 10-year expulsion from the Academy.

Given that the issue cannot be avoided, even if one were to want to avoid the actor, his most recent project appears to be a step toward his redemption. And none other than Rihanna herself has given Smith’s most recent endeavor the thumbs up.

The most recent Will Smith movie addresses a very delicate subject.

With his most recent project, Will Smith addresses the delicate subject of slavery in the USA. The American Civil War era is the backdrop for the movie Emancipation. Smith portrays Peter, a slave who attempts to flee slavery and travels through Louisiana to escape the plantation owners who nearly killed him.

The King Richard star shared his opinions of the movie with his industry friends as he walked the red carpet for Emancipation earlier this week. He began by describing Rihanna’s response to E! News.

Rihanna admired the filmmaking. She felt completely speechless at how the movie looked.

When the private screening first happened, headlines blasted the movie and its screening as nothing more than a ploy to win over the public and repair the harm that his slap gate scandal had caused.

The private screening of “Emancipation” was a memorable event.

Additional attendees at the private viewing included Dave Chappelle, Tyler Perry, A$AP Rocky, and Kenya Barris. Based on their quick responses on the screen, the Aladdin star claimed he could understand the reviews of every person who attended the watch party. He said in jest,

Black individuals have the advantage of talking to the screen the entire time, which eliminates the need to solicit other people’s opinions. Also that she needed no one to ask in the room for their opinion.

The Bad Boys actor posted images of the star-studded screening to Instagram in late October. He has written in the caption.

Barris raved about the movie in the article’s comment section as well. ‘This night was MAGIC, and your movie is something that will last forever,’ he wrote.

What effect the delicate movie will have on ticket sales and, more crucially, on people’s thinking, is still to be seen. Will it rid him of his past transgressions? Time will only tell.

Select theatres now have Emancipation in release, and on December 9 it will make its Apple TV+ debut.
