Ubisoft listed the games it strategies to release in the 2023-2024 fiscal year during an emergency investor call former today. It gives fans an idea of which large releases are on their means for the second half of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, with at least one Ubisoft icon and extra big franchises.
Ubisoft went finished something of a rough patch during the first part of its existing fiscal year, which began in April 2022 and runs till this March. Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope then Just Dance 2023 underperformed, according to a new press release, and the company responded by canceling three surprise games. Ubisoft has also announced further delays to Skull besides Bones, whose troubled development is stretched into its tenth year.
Ubisoft similarly plans to launch Skull and Bones somewhere through this period, assuming no further setbacks occur. The commissioner also stated that it still has several more surprise games in the pipeline, “including one big one,” though Ubisoft did not specify what those might be.
Set in 9th century Iraq, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a thoughtful throwback to the original Assassin’s Creed. While unglued from the original game’s events by hundreds of lots and at least three centuries, it represents a version of the Assassins that’s much closer to how they looked in the 2007 game. Assassin’s Creed Mirage trades the current games’ large open-world environments and RPG mechanism for a more linear, story-focused experience suggestive of the original.
Temporarily, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is an open-world action adventure ready in the universe of James Cameron’s Avatar pictures. Players will take control of a Navi besides explore a never-before-seen region of Pandora named the Western Frontier. Developers haven’t bare much about Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, but it will see a group of actors defend the Western Frontier from the series’ rival, the Resources Development Administration. Massive Entertainment publicized Frontiers of Pandora in 2017 but missed the innovative 2022 release window.
Finally, Ubisoft Singapore underway works on the pirate-themed action-adventure game Skull then Bones in 2013. Originally future was an expansion for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Skull and Bones felt multiple changes in scope and vision and topped its budget numerous times. The game’s modern shift in direction came in 2020, with the current version of Skull and Bones life a tactical naval combat game set in the Indian Ocean throughout the 1600s.
