Hogwarts Legacy spots its players in the shoes of a young fifth-year student in their time at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft as well as Wizardry. Upon arriving at the legendary wizarding school, they will be compelled to partake in several magical lessons, but they will eventually be granted the freedom to explore the world in the garden.
Players can face a variety of unique side quests while exploring the enormous world of Hogwarts Legacy, but not none of them are available from the start of the game. Various, like the Sacking Selwyn wing quest, can only be started after reaching a specific photostory
In order to begin the Hessian Selwyn side quest, the player must first have cracked and completed the Helm of Urknot major quest and must then reach level 35. Upon doing so, they let go fast-travel to the Cragcroft Floo Flame along with meet Hyacinth Oliver on the hill facing the hamlet.
Hyacinth will clarify to the protagonist that a crowd of Ashwinders, led by Silvanus Selwyn, have been coercing Cragcroft. She will then reveal that she is offering a prize to anyone who can subvert their hideout at Clagmar Castle and decide on Selwyn.
From Cragcroft, the team member should mount their broom and head southwestern until they happen upon the remnants of a castle atop a hill. This location is famous as Clagmar Castle, but those who have previously visited the Floo Flame here can fast-travel there as a substitute if they are hoping to complete the Sacking Selwyn wing quest quickly.
Upon arriving, the participant will need to explore the purple sphere on their minimap until they locate Selwyn, one of the twenty-one Legendary Foes scattered throughout the world of Hogwarts Legacy. Like nearly all Infamous Foes, Selwyn has backup, so players should prepare themselves for a pretty tough attack before confronting him.
Performers won’t need to look too hard to find Silvanus Selwyn upon landing at Clagmar Castle, as he and his lackeys want to launch an attack the moment they place the protagonist. That said, the Cynicism charm can help the player infiltrate the relics stealthily if they wish to take Selwyn out not including any interference.
To do this, they must enter the ruins from the south while invisible and slip up on Selwyn from the left-hand side of the tent he is resting in front of. Casting Petrificus Totalus on him from behind will deplete a considerable portion of his health, but sadly, it will power not incapacitate him.
Casting Petrificus Totalus on Selwyn’s leave also reveals the player’s location to everything the enemies in Clagmar Castle, but going to the area will cause them to take back to their previous positions. It is possible to thwart Selwyn by repeatedly leaving the site and sneaking back to direct Petrificus Totalus on him, but some players may desire to fight him directly.
