Tokyo Mew Mew :
It is a Japanese manga series created by Reiko Yoshida with its chapters collected in seven tankobon volumes by Kodansha. The storyline focuses on five girls that are infused with the DNA of endangered animals that provide them with special powers that transform them into “Mew Mews” led by Ichigo Momomiya as the girls ultimately protect the earth from aliens who wish to reclaim it while looking at the scenarios.
The series was adapted into a fifty-two-episode anime series that aired in Japan from February 3, 2002, to March 29, 2003, on TV Aichi and TV Tokyo. The series represented a two-volume sequel to the manga, Tokyo Mew Mew a la Mode.
While the sequel introduced a new character, Berry Shirayuki who becomes the temporary leader of the Mew Mews with anime. The series did inspire two video games: a puzzle adventure game for Game Boy Advance and a role-playing video game for the PlayStation.
In 2020, a second two-chapter sequel released that has been displayed as Tokyo Mew Mew 2020 Re-Turn was released that featured the main characters which feature a new team of male Mew Mews. An Anime adaptation of the series, Tokyo Mew Mew New was announced as the series premiered in July 2022.
The storyline portrays a young girl named Ichigo Momomiya based in Japan that attends an endangered species exhibit with her crush Masaya Aoyama. With a twist in the series after being hit by an earthquake Ichigo and four other girls are bathed in a strange light as it appears before Ichigo after a rapid meeting with Ryou Shirogane and Keiichirou Akasaka, Ichigo learns that she was infused with the DNA of the Iriomote cat. Later in the series, Ryou and Keiichirou explain that this allows her to transform into Mew Ichigo, a powerful heroic cat girl.

Ichigo ordered to defeat Chimera Animas as an ultimate aim with alien parasites which infect animals and turn them into monsters. Ryou and Keiichirou instruct Ichigo to find the four other girls from the exhibit in coordination with the remaining Mew Mews.
During Mythical Mew Mew Ichigo is 22 years old but still retains her short temper and is married to Masaya while working as a wildlife biologist. Her animal is the Iriomote Wild Cat while the second Mew Mew girl is Minto, her Mew Name is Mew Mint with her animal as blue lorikeet.
Two video games are based on the Tokyo Mew Mew series that was launched in 2002 by Takara as a puzzle adventure game for the Game Boy Advance that was released in Japan on July 11, 2002. The streaming platform of the series is HIDIVE. Stay tuned for more updates.
