Will Scientists Ever Be Able to Realize Their Dearest Ambition of Creating a Superhuman?

Have you heard about the action-adventure game franchise which was created by Nintendo? If you guessed “Metroid” then you’re correct. In the game “Metroid” a bounty hunter character Samus Aran is controlled by players and protects the galaxy from space pirates.

Space pirates attempt to harness the power of the parasite Metroid creature.
But have you ever thought of where the powers Samus holds come from? Just like the game “Metroid” “SPARTAN” is a program series of United Nations space command projects which is designed to create characters of superior super soldiers who are part of some special fighting units.

These soldiers have physical, genetic, technical, and mental superiority, or technically they have superpowers. When we look deep into this we can notice some similar designs or characters in Sci-fi movies or series.

The Marvels also had super soldier serum, which can transform someone from a tiny sickly man like Steve Rogers into Captain America. So basically the question is how these things can happen and what we see in sci-fi, is there any term for that process?

This curiosity of many people can be solved with the term “Bio Augmentation”. It is a process of altering the physiology or body chemistry of a living being. It’s predicting all aspects of human physiology followed by adjusting and fully customizing it. When a process like this is done through robots or robotic science it’s referred to as “Cybernetics” whereas when it’s done organically it is termed as “Bio Augmentation “.

We’ve seen in sci-fi, the limbs or a body part of our favorite character rebuild on its own, and we refer is a supernatural power, which makes us like our characters more charismatic. Bio Augmentation can explain this power. It gives the power of grafting new limbs to replace a missing one or this process can be as complex as completely rewriting someone’s CNS to grant such incredible supernatural powers.

Bio Augmentation, the more fabulous it looks, is not the full side of the story we know. Although it’s only fictional till now, when it comes to real life, it’ll be gruesome and a nightmare to many people. When the scientists are done creating something like Bioaugmentation in real life, it’ll be unearthly and monstrous. It’s better if it stays only in sci-fi, not in real life.
