Heard traveled to Israel at the same time that she and Depp appealed the jury’s decision in their contentious defamation case, which gave Depp $10.35 million and Heard only $2 million.
She was convicted guilty of slander and sentenced to pay Depp a total of $8.3 million, but she claims she lacks the funds to do so.
Depp and his attorney requested that Barlow be permanently excluded from the trial after she allegedly attempted to give Heard’s team legal advise.
Ironically, The Daily Beast reported that, previous to their trial, the actress’s lawyers were pleading with her to go for the “tens of millions of dollars” they believed she was entitled to from Depp’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” profits.
They claimed that because Depp worked on Pirates of the Caribbean 5 while Heard was married, it was “community property” and an asset to which Heard was entitled to a share.
Heard refused to let them pursue that money, and her attorneys claimed via email that she was being “true to your word” that it wasn’t about money.
