Matt Lanter, the actor who starred in 90210 as much-loved counselor Tino Jones and has had emergency surgery to remove his appendix was hospitalized earlier this week. His wife revealed that he’s doing well after having a successful operation but will need some time off from acting for recovery purposes because it can be physically demanding work!
The CW’s hit show, “Liam Court” star Michael Alphonso was treated for an illness earlier this week.
Matt’s wife Angela shared the news of his passing on Sunday via Instagram alongside a black and white photo she uploaded from their wedding day, which showed him holding hands with her as they walked down an aisle in front of friends and family members gathered around them.
Inconsolable, she wrote in the caption: ‘This week has been the scariest of my life. My hubby was through Tuesday and ended up on Thursday in emergency surgery – thankfully he’s started to turn around but it is a long road ahead.’
‘Thank you all for your prayers, love, and support. We are so thankful to the awesome nurses, they are the real heroes. ❤️’
She added: ‘We still have an uphill battle and will continue to be in the hospital for a while longer, so prayers are definitely still appreciated.’
When the wife of actor Kellan Lutz, who co-starred with Matt in 90210 passed on her good wishes and commented: ‘We’re praying for total & complete healing over Matt! And peace over you both.’
Matt Hardy announced that he would not be able to make his scheduled appearance at Comic-Con this weekend. He shared a video on Instagram last week announcing the news and explaining why it has happened, though Angela did not reveal what’s caused his health issue yet in their conversation with us today.

Matt’s dedication to playing the lead in Beverly Hills 90210 was nothing short of spectacular. His character Liam had a tumultuous romance with Naomi Clark, and also starred Tristan Wilds as well! The series ran from 2008-to 2013 – we can’t wait until you morph into your next role soon enough Mr actor.
