Every year on February 27, Pokemon Day is observed, and this year’s event included some enormous and hype-worthy announcements in a 14-minute live webcast. Pokemon Generation 9 will be released in 2022, featuring two games, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
With the release of Pokemon Legends Arceus, a completely new game set in the ancient Hisui area, Pokemon enthusiasts have already had a busy year. It is presently the second-most-sold Nintendo Switch game of all time.
In late 2021, we’ll also be able to play Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes dubbed Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The 26-year-old brand has now unveiled two new Pokemon games set in an entirely new territory, containing new and existing Pokemon, as well as a new playstyle.

Pokemon Gen 9: Release Date
The Pokemon Company formally introduced Generation 9 at the end of the Pokemon Day live webcast, barely three years after Generation 8 featured Pokemon Sword and Shield. The upcoming Pokemon Generation 9 will include two games.
The two new Pokemon games will be Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. Today, a sneak peek at the new titles was shown. They already look spectacular, with a mix of vibrant metropolis areas and bright natural beauties populated by various Pokemon.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will also be released by the end of 2022, according to Game Freak. As a result, Pokemon fans will be treated to two huge games this year.
Gameplay, Trailer, and Starters
Pokemon Scalet and Violet, like past Pokemon main games, will be open-world adventure role-playing games. We also know about the new beginning Pokemon, which we’ll look at briefly later.
The upcoming Pokemon games may incorporate the greatest elements of the Legends Arceus and Sword & Shield games. Scarlet and Violet will have a modern-day plot, as opposed to Legends Arceus, which is set in the ancient past.
The unveiling film also teases a fresh new area. The city area appears to be vibrantly colored and flower-filled, with windmills positioned along the slope. According to early indications, the new map would be based on Spain.
The teaser depicts a city church with a Sagrada Familia atmosphere, as well as surroundings with a Mediterranean ambiance.
Starters of Pokemon Gen 9: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly
The Pokemon Gen 9 unveiling also included the new Pokemon starters, who are adorable and one-of-a-kind. Sprigatito is a grass-type cat, Fuecoco is a little fire-type alligator, and Quaxly is a water-type duck sporting a Mario-style helmet.
These are also the only three Pokemon that have been announced for Scarlet and Violet as of yet. More of these might appear in the near future. The firm has not yet revealed its evolutions. We’ll have to wait a little longer to learn more about them.
