SHOCKING: How Kanye “Ye” West Feels About Kim Kardashian’s Legal Single Status

Kim Kardashian, the reality star and pop culture icon, is divorced from musician Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, according to a Los Angeles judge.

Kardashian appeared in court via video on Wednesday in downtown Los Angeles. Ye did not attend, but his attorney was there and did not oppose the divorce although financial and child-custody issues were still ongoing.

Kardashian filed for divorce more than a year ago, but the case has stalled due to complicated financial difficulties, and the couple has sorted out the custody of their four children.

However, Kardashian, who has been publicly dating “Saturday Night Live” cast member Pete Davidson since October, filed court documents late last year requesting a judge to accelerate the divorce, even though those other concerns remain unresolved.

Kim scored a legal triumph over her estranged spouse on March 2 by convincing a court to grant an official request to terminate her marital status before the finalization of their divorce, which began a year ago when she filed paperwork to end their seven-year marriage.

Samantha Spector, Kanye “Ye” West’s attorney, wants to “dispel a few mistruths” about the court session, which she attended on behalf of the rap musician, who is now legally single as well.

“Kanye’s documentation has always maintained that his divorce proceedings were just procedural,” Ye’s attorney told E! News. “Additionally, he was always in favor of the divorce only if Kim took the formal processes necessary by California law to preserve her rights.”

So, now that one issue has been resolved, where is Ye’s head? ” Ye is dedicating his entire attention to their children,” his attorney said.

E! News contacted Kim and Ye’s representatives for comment.

The reality star, who has children with Ye, North West, 8, Saint West, 6, Chicago West, 4, and Psalm West, 2, filed a plea to be proclaimed single in December. Ye filed an opposition to her petition on February 18, with his lawyer writing in the filings that “Kim’s motion should be refused without prejudice so that Kim can refile it with the obligatory modifications and desired conditions laid forth in the proposed decision.” Alternatively, he requested a hearing to go over the conditions.

Days later, Kim re-filed her plea for legal separation, accusing Ye of causing her mental distress by reportedly “posting a lot of disinformation regarding our private family problems and co-parenting on social media.” Her ex, who had uploaded and then deleted multiple Instagram posts in recent weeks, including one criticizing North’s TikTok performance and many bashing Kim’s boyfriend, Pete Davidson, reacted on Feb. 25. with his legal petition, alleging there was no proof filed to back up her claims.

Meanwhile, Kim and Ye’s divorce processes are still ongoing. A hearing has been set for August 5th.
