Simone Ashley dropped some exciting news for “kanton” fans
It’s no surprise that Ashley, who portrayed one of Lord Anthony Bridgerton’s (Jonathan Bailey) love interests Kate Sharma in season two reveal to Deadline last week during a dinner celebrating South Asian culture hosted by Netflix. The 27-year old dropped the news on Tuesday, March 29th when she announced his character would be returning for another round!
Kate and Anthony’s story continues in season three! We’re thrilled to have Jess Brownell taking the lead as showrunner. In season two, there were complications with family while they tried figuring out how each other felt about them – but now it feels like everything has happened for a reason because this new journey is just getting started
“I hope that we see more of Kate’s character in season three,” said Ashley. I’d like to see her just let go and have some fun together with the love she deserves.”
While many fans were happy to see the tension between Kate and Anthony resolved in season two, they also missed seeing her settle down with someone on her own. Fortunately for them, Ashley has announced that she will be returning for more!
After her father’s death, Kate assumed responsibility for the household. She explained that she wants to keep some aspects of vulnerability and softness concerning how it was before but also shares this new opportunity as well by becoming a mother now too! I’m excited because we’ll see what kind of change takes place next…
It was reported in April 2021 that nearly a year ahead of the debut season two, “Bridgerton” has been renewed for another three seasons.
