Taipei-based Transcend Information, Inc. develops and distributes memory products, and is based in Taiwan. Flash memory cards, USB flash drives, portable hard drives and multimedia equipment like dashcams and body cameras are just a few of the more than 2,000 items Transcend offers.
Besides the United States, it maintains offices in Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Japan. It was the first Taiwanese memory module manufacturer to be certified by the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system.
Chung-Won Shu, Peter formed Transcend Information, Inc. in 1988, and it has its headquarters in Taipei, Taiwan. There are now 13 offices throughout the world for the Transcend brand of digital storage and multimedia and industrial equipment. All of the company’s goods are designed, developed, and manufactured in-house, as are the marketing and sales efforts.

Expansion cards for the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models from Transcend have been updated to include a 1TB version, allowing owners of the newest Macs to expand their internal storage space at a reasonable price.
With read and write speeds of up to 95MB/s and 75MB/s, Transcend claims the JetDrive Lite cards are designed with high-quality NAND memory.
