Moon Knight episode 6 finally answers the question that fans have been waiting for, and while we won’t go into too much detail here (read on for more), the hints that the series has been dropping all along come to fruition in the show’s conclusion.
And it appears that many of the viewers’ worst fears regarding Lockley’s ability to fit into Marc Spector’s life have been realized, which is a shift from Lockley’s comic book persona.

The Marvel series Moon Knight captivated viewers during its six-episode run on Disney Plus, transporting them to a realm where ancient Egyptian gods reigned supreme.
After weeks of suspense, fans were finally introduced to a crucial character in the episode 6 finale post-credits sequence – Jake Lockley, Oscar Isaac’s third persona after Marc Spector, and Steven Grant.

Moon Knight’s contrasting personalities were originally depicted as masks worn by Marc Spector in order to accomplish his personal aims as a crimefighter (you can read all about how Marc Spector became the avatar of Khonshu and what that means here).
While mercenary Marc Spector’s basic identity remained Moon Knight’s customary hidden identity, he assumed the guise of affluent millionaire Steven Grant to mingle with the white-collar criminals at the top of society’s ladder (a stark contrast to Grant’s more timid portrayal in the MCU).
On the other hand, Spector assumed the persona of Jake Lockley, a rough-and-tumble cab driver with a pulse on the seedy underbelly and a slew of criminal connections (much like Batman’s alter ego, Matches Malone).
Moon Knight created a network of informants and spies while working undercover as Jake Lockley, allowing him to keep one step ahead of his opponents and criminal targets. At the same time, the addition of Lockley to Spector’s arsenal of disguises signaled the beginning of his more serious identity issues.
Jake Lockley is another of Marc’s aliases in the comics, who takes on the persona of a street-smart cab driver.

Marc Spector’s psychological shredding begins as he tries to sustain the continued lives of Moon Knight, Steven Grant, Jake Lockley, and, of course, his core identity, with Khonshu’s mystical influence confusing things even more.
Moon Knight’s multiple personalities were initially depicted as disguises and alter egos rather than full-fledged dissociative identities, but his dormant Dissociative Identity Disorder eventually broke down, fracturing his mind into separate personalities with their own interior lives, memories, and awareness.
Moon Knight continues to use the many skillsets of his multiple alters as part of his goal, just as he has established various forms of his superhero identity, such as the ‘Mr. Knight’s persona – but their relationships with one another are always shifting, sometimes contentiously.
Is there a chance that Moon Knight may return for a second season?
Although the second season of Moon Knight has yet to be confirmed, there are many open questions that fans will definitely hope to be answered in the future.

The most pressing problems include Jake’s ability to continue working with Khonshu while Marc and Steven stay unaware.

Moon Knight episode 6 concludes the conflict between Khonshu’s and Ammit’s beliefs, with Moon Knight and Arthur Harrow (their respective Avatars) ultimately facing off in a superhero-sized battle.
Finally, it appears that Marc Spector is done with Khonshu. And, despite his suspicions that Khonshu will claim Layla as his new Avatar, Spector is dealt a much greater blow when Jake Lockley arrives.
Harrow (with the essence of Ammit trapped inside him thanks to the villain’s defeat) is brought into a car where Khonshu is sitting after waiting until the episode’s concluding scene. Khonshu signals the car’s driver, who turns around to expose Marc Spector’s face, but whom Khonshu identifies as “Jake Lockley,” while Harrow informs Khonshu he can’t interfere or kill Ammit.
Khonshu claims that Marc Spector was far more broken than even he thought, leading him to take on Lockley as his Avatar’s most brutal element – a role he seemed to have fully embraced now that the conflict with Ammit is over.
With that, Lockley shoots and kills Harrow, presumably along with Ammit, and the Moon Knight streaming series comes to an end. And it appears that all of Marc Spector’s violent outbursts and hidden killings, which were indicated to be the work of a hidden, third character, are revealed to be the work of Jake Lockley in this one act, as planned.
Whatever happens next for Moon Knight, wherever he appears in the MCU, it appears to be Jake Lockley behind the mask, which may be to everyone’s detriment.
