The episode opens with Kazuya meeting up with his two boyfriends and debating their schedules now that they are back for their second year.
Afterward the opening credits, we find Kazuya at his workplace asking someone else at his workplace for advice on how to love a girl. He receives humorous advice but then realizes that any advice will be useless. After all, Chizuru is a surrogate girl and their relationship is a farce.
Agreeing to this, he visits Chisoro on a play date. Chizuru gives many reasons why they shouldn’t go out on those rented dates anymore, and Kazuya doesn’t object. He has nothing to hide from Mami, but we see that he has an explanation for Reka. Kazuya had previously approached Reka about it and got permission to take her out.
However, the only condition is that he must also watch Chisoro’s performance. If Kazuya’s whole goal is to help him achieve his acting goals, Ruka thinks he should justify those purchases by looking at his acting. Kazuya agrees and we see that they go on a date.
The Second Date
Afterward the play date, Chizuru tells Kazuya that she is quitting her job and asks if she is busy so they can spend time together. He leads her to the batting cage where she watches baseballs land on her lap. Kazuya thinks it’s like a real date, but Chihiro says that unfortunately, it’s not a date.
He explains that he asks because people stare at him whenever he goes out alone, so Kazuya’s presence helps as a deterrent. In addition, he adds that he does not want to treat her as a stranger. Kazuya is confused as to why Chisoro is sympathetic to him, explaining that he lived through it.
It’s not his fault that he’s a neighbor and that they go to the same school, so there’s no point in fussing or being upset about how things turned out. After he finished describing their relationship, he stepped out of the batting cage and loudly picked up Kazuya.
Everything seems too appropriate for Kazuya, and this is exactly the time when something seems too good to be true. Chizuru only invited Kazuya because her grandmother wanted to see the two of them, but she didn’t want them to be in the hospital together all day.
So, he spent time with two of them and decided to visit them after hours when he was in the hospital so they wouldn’t have to stay there too long. Even though the visit is short, Kazuya spends time with his grandmother. They talk, revealing that the game has been watching her and describing her as very strong and independent, but her mother says that she is a very needy and weak girl.
This makes Kazuya think back to when Chizuru said that those who look strong hide their weakness. Grandma asks Kazuya to take care of her and he swears since he loves her. This scene is amazing, now she is openly confessing her love to someone.
