The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim was released at a distinct time in the video game industry. Currently, the majority of video games are sold digitally. Despite that, Skyrim was released in physical pack that contained tutorials and such. Some Skyrim fans may still have a copy of the cloth map. Prima Games released another map that was very useful and probably available to many Skyrim players at the time.
The long strategy guides used in video games are no more available. These plan guides are pretty much outdated now, even though there have been some great ones across the years. Prima Games has released a huge Skyrim strategy book that includes a large black map of the entire game world.
This map is more detailed than the one included in the game and can be used in conjunction with the intelligence in the strategy guide to help Skyrim users in their adventures.
Prima Games’ Skyrim map displays where players can move in the game. It covers crucial areas such as Whiterun and the many jails to be found in the game. This map was found out by Skyrimplayer who shared it with the Reddit population.

User BossDozzz shared his Skyrim map on Reddit, which has received over 200 upvotes at the time of writing. BossDozzz can’t remember exactly where they got the map because they “probably” stole it from Best Buy when they were 15 after being told it was from a Skyrim strategy guide by Prima Games. Even so, it’s a healthy bit of nostalgia for Skyrim fans who know the strategy or remember the map from the past.
Sadly, as the industry becomes more digital, physical gaming experiences like this are becoming harder and harder to come by. Such items are now reserved for special editions of games, such as collector’s editions, which often come with maps, statistics and more. It will be interesting to see if The Elder Scrolls 6 finally has a map to match Skyrim and if there are big physical strategy guides for it.
