The Eternal Wells are a set of DLC levels and skins for platformer Kao the Kangaroo based on the Halloween season.
Kao the Kangaroo, a 3D platformer, is gaining a set of Halloween-themed stages and skins for the season. This is a reboot of the older 3D platforming series, which was released earlier this year on a variety of console games, including the Switch, by developer Tate Multimedia.
This is a more niche platforming title than some of the more well-known franchises, such as Crash Bandicoot and perhaps Rachet and Clank, and it received mixed reviews from critics and fans. Despite this, these same developers still are providing a Halloween update.
With Halloween approaching, many games are supplying seasonal updates to start celebrating the spooky Fall season. This can range from Night online events for multiplayer to simply cosmetic updates that players can use to terrorize others. Kao the Kangaroo is just no exception, as it is providing fans with a set of spooky extras in the Oh! Well DLC.
This latest trailer for Kao the Kangaroo outlines how much fans can expect, beginning with a purple recolored skin of Kao’s character and ending with an exploration of a deep purple dimension void.
This one is known as the Eternal Wells, and the trailer advertises five more levels for the player to conquer. This includes hazards ranging from perilous pits to a section where players must scale a wall. There’s also a set of wheels that players can jump between.
The DLC trailer also demonstrates Kao the Kangaroo’s combat, in which he fights a new enemy shaped like a pink heart. Other challenges can be seen from there, such as the above-said spinning wheels that the player must jump between, as well as a slick ice slide that Kao must descend.
The trailer even teases a new set of enemies for players to face, including a ghastly purple monkey with a hammer, a bird with a similar color scheme, or a group of enemies hidden behind them.
This DLC also includes five appropriately spooky Halloween-themed skins, one of which is the aforementioned purple recolor. The teaser also features a greenish zombie-like skin, which can be unlocked in-game. The trailer announces that this DLC is now available, allowing players to prepare for the freaky season early with these levels and cosmetics.
The Kangaroo’s name is Kao. Oh! DLC for PC, Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series is now available.
