The New Disney+ Series Agatha: coven of Chaos is All Set to Be Filmed

When Agatha: Coven of Chaos starts filming next month, incantations will be sung with a few pithy remarks thrown in for good measure.

At the Chicago International Film Festival, Kathryn Hahn, who portrays the series’ eponymous witch, announced the huge news regarding the much-awaited MCU series as she made her way down the red carpet.

Hahn’s dark-magic witch soon acquired fame in what began as a one-off role for Marvel and Disney+’s Emmy Award-winning series, WandaVision, which the Bad Moms actress says was “nothing [she] could’ve ever dreamed of.” She soon progressed through the ranks and obtained a spin-off project, and she was astounded by the popularity of a character “that no one had ever heard of.”

Beginning production, according to Hahn, was “extremely, very thrilling.” The Mrs. Fletcher star dropped the big news, saying that filming will start “in about a month” and that production was “in the middle of getting the coven ready.”

This is both metaphorically and music to our ears, as we anticipate at least one musical number in the future season. The Scarlet Witch put a jinx on Hahn’s Agatha in the closing scenes of WandaVision to make her believe that she was just a regular resident of the cookie-cutter neighborhood after making a magical uproar on Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and the enchanting town of Westview, New Jersey. Agatha: Coven of Chaos is likely to continue from there. We are eager to learn how the main character, who was once the guardian of the Darkhold, reclaims her authority.

Although little is known about the series’ premise or characters, it was just recently confirmed that Emma Caulfield would be returning as Dottie, the boss woman of Westview. Before Agatha’s identity as the series’ main antagonist was exposed through a very catchy jingle, Dottie, who was renowned across the town for her meticulous preparation and informed gossip, appeared to be the series’ main antagonist.

Even while we’re unsure of Dottie’s specific function in the new movie, we surely hope that she joins someone’s coven – just imagine the rumors! Regarding Agatha’s cherished Darkhold (a magical book containing the most sinister of spells)She is undoubtedly not going to be pleased that Doctor Strange destroyed it in the Multiverse of Madness. Jac Schaeffer, chief writer at WandaVision, will executive produce the show in addition to writing the story alongside Caulfield and Hahn.

Since the spinoff, which centers on Agatha, was first unveiled in November 2021 as part of the Disney+ Day celebrations, excitement has been growing. Originally known as Agatha: House of Harkness, the series name changed to Agatha: Coven of Chaos, which was announced during Marvel’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con this year.

Although a precise date hasn’t been determined, we know the new series will debut on Disney+ in the winter of 2023. For now, watch the WandaVision trailer and listen to Hahn express her enthusiasm in the red-carpet interview.
