Operation Solar Raid: Rainbow Six Siege’s Newest Season Is a Game-Changer You Don’t Want to Miss!

Operation Solar Raid: Everything You Need to Know About Rainbow Six Siege’s Newest Season

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is gearing up for its newest season, ‘Operation Solar Raid’. With a new operator, map, and major game changes, this is the most highly anticipated update yet. Here’s everything you need to know before it airs on December 6th, 2022.

Newest Operator – Solis

As a defender called Solis, this two-speed, two-armor intel provider brings in a new gadget called the SPEC-IO Electro Sensor. This novel gadget allows her to locate any attacker’s gadget in range. Her loadout includes the P90 and the ITA12L submachine guns and the SMG11 machine pistol. It is quite useful for site setup and roaming.

Solis’ Kit

Solis’ kit is designed in three main parts – the helmet, the bracelet, and the gloves. The helmet operates like a 3D ring. It glows yellow and displays a HUD that assists the user in scanning for electronic devices. The bracelet is used to place a tag for the AR interface, and Solis uses it to interact with the gadget. The middle part of the AR interface is the scan, which, when performed, gives the position of every electronic device in its path.

Solis’ Loadout

Solis’ loadout features the P90 submachine gun, which is commonly seen with Doc and Rook. She also has the ITA12L shotgun, which Oryx and Valkyrie use. The SMG11 machine pistol is a high fire rate weapon with a fair amount of recoil. Solis can carry two impact grenades that work brilliantly for site setup and roaming.

New Map – Nighthaven Labs

After Outback, which was released three years ago in ‘Operation Burnt Horizon’, the Rainbow Six Siege map, Nighthaven Labs, is coming out in ‘Operation Solar Raid.’ Nighthaven Labs serves as the headquarters for the Nighthaven faction and has excellent operators like Wamai, Kali, Osa, and many more. It is located opposite an isolated island’s shore.

The Map Layout

The Nighthaven Labs map is a two-story level map with five attackable exterior windows. The building comprises an underground garage, a first floor office area, a second-floor lab area with offices and an exterior service pathway, and a helipad on the roof.

Cross Play and Cross Progression

Rainbow Six Siege encourages cross-platform play with cross-progression available on Google Stadia, Ubisoft+, Amazon Luna, and PlayStation Now. With these enablements, players can transition without any worries about losing progress or starting over.

Cross Play

Cross-play is available between different systems. While PS4 and PS5 can work together, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC can also work together.

Cross Progression

Players with one account can play on their profile and maintain their current rank, boosting their Operator selection, and Battle Pass progression across all platforms. So, playing on one platform is certainly useful for maintaining game progression and collecting points that will make it simpler to unlock rewards.

Ranked System 2.0

The major update to accommodate season 4’s game changes is the rank system 2.0 update. In the update, a player’s rank is determined by the number of points they win or lose after each season. The true skill rating remains private and will serve as the player’s matchmaking score. Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond are now five divisions in each rank. Rank points must be earned after every win by the player to be promoted to the next division.

The New Emerald Rank

Ubisoft has added another middle step in ranks between platinum and diamond. The new Emerald rank and divide the players with specific classing that can ensure they get rewarded sincerely at the end of each season.

Tactical Battle Pass

Rainbow Six Siege offers tactical and exclusive rewards every season with its popular Battle Pass.

Reward type

The rewards available in the Battle Pass include attachments, weapon skins, uniforms, charms.

Free and Premium Track

It includes various rewards from the point of purchase, that are unlocked through gaining Battle Pass points via special events, missions, and similar participations. Free rewards contain skins for weapons, attachment skins, and digital content among others. The premium Battle Pass offers exclusive perks, including themes and customization packages.

Shooting Range Improvement

Ubisoft has improved the shooting range in ‘Operation Solar Raid’. The range now includes bots that can do various movements and for practice mode. The controls have also changed and allow players to change the weapon attachment on the go, refill their ammo, or change the weapon entirely without the need of restarting the game.

Reputation System

Rainbow Six Siege is introducing the Reputation system in ‘Operation Solar Raid’. Reputation will replace the current level system and rank players based on a point system earned from completing missions, events, and more in-game activities. This status offers specific perks and exclusives to those who hold them.

Drone Skins

Tired of the same-old drone experience? Don’t worry! ‘Operation Solar Raid’ adds new drone skins from ‘Aperture Science’ in cooperation with Valve for a fun new way to enjoy your drone experience.
