While it remains to be seen if The Bachelorette Season 19 will live up to that promise—as well as who Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia will pick in the end—we can say with certainty that it’s already off to a crazy start, based on the spoilers we’ve seen so far.
For starters, this season of The Bachelorette features two leading females looking for love for the first time in the franchise’s history. Gabby and Rachel stood by each other during Clayton Echard’s latest Bachelor season, which included the notorious “rose ceremony from hell,” in which he admitted he was in love with and had been sexual with Gabby.
Clayton later broke up with both Gabby and Rachel—at the same time, no less—and Bachelor Nation is cheering for them to find love. While former Bachelor Nick Viall said on the PEOPLE Everyday podcast that “the highlight of this season was the camaraderie between Rachel and Gabby, and the empathy that those two women showed for one another,” while former Bachelorette Michelle Young wrote in an Instagram Story, “Y’all will do so well!!”

While the two will “stand by one another’s side once more as they embark on a journey to discover love,” it’s unclear how ABC will adjust the show’s premise this season to accommodate both Bachelorettes, according to a press release. For comparison, Season 11 of The Bachelorette included two stars, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson, but unlike this season, the men chose only Bristowe to continue.
“Everyone is inquiring.” Wendy reportedly said on Good Morning America regarding how the new show format will work, “We simply got tossed in.” However, I have faith and a great deal of trust in Rachel. And I know we’ll have each other’s backs the entire way, so there’s nothing to worry about.
Following the announcement, Rachel expressed her thoughts in a Bachelor Nation video. She replied, “I’m eager to go through this with Gabby.” “I had her by my side the entire time, and I can’t wait to embark on this adventure with her again.”
Season 19 will almost certainly have some new twists and turns, but one thing is certain: there will be plenty of spoilers. According to Cosmopolitan, she said on the finale of The Bachelor that she wants to find an “emotionally knowledgeable, mature” man “who can push me.”
Rachel’s bio describes her as a “hopeless romantic” who “wants to find crazy, mad love that makes sense to no one else but her and her soul mate,” according to her bio. Following the conclusion, the pilot and flying instructor added, “I want someone playful and amusing who can make me laugh.”
Windey told Bachelor Nation that being able to “receive advice and just talk to someone when you truly need it” would be a “big blessing” in the joint season, so the two will likely consult one another before dishing out those prized corsages during rose ceremonies.
