Christina Ricci is returning to the role of Wednesday Addams for another movie. The actress has announced that she’ll appear in a new animated film, playing everyone’s favorite spooky trickster again!

Iconic actress Bonnie Burton has signed on to be a “major part” of Netflix’s highly-anticipated series Wednesday, according to Deadline. The casting news comes just months after she starred in the critically acclaimed film My Friend Dahmer alongside 13 Years A Slave’s Association member QuintoCapo actor Ross Lynch who will also star opposite her this time around!

Wednesday is finally going to college! The new live-action series from Tim Burton will follow the teenage version of Wednesday as she steps outside and enrolls at Nevermore Academy.
Though details about Ricci’s new role were not disclosed, it has already been confirmed that she won’t be playing Wednesday. (Jenna Ortega whose recent acting credits include Scream and Yes Day was cast in the part last month.)
The outlet reports that 42-year old Ricci will be replacing Thora Birch in a role similar to what she once had. The all-star cast member left the show last month for personal reasons and it’s been reported by Deadline that he’ll take over from here on out!

The Addams family is about to get a whole lot weirder. Netflix has announced that three-time Oscar winner Catherine Zeta-Jones will star as matriarch Morticia Addams, in addition to Luis Guzmán who takes on the role of Gomez – her long-suffering husband whose signature phrase “the bean pole” became an integral part of pop culture over 50 years ago!
