This Thursday, April 14th, Is When Bungie Will Release Destiny 2.

In this week’s Bungie, we speak about Rhulk’s newfound sense of calm and a fresh approach to dungeon and raid exploration.

Is it that late in April? Even more, updates are on their way to Destiny 2 as the summer months continue to fly by, and we’re happy to show them off as we work on what the future holds for our favorite space-faring heroes.

Weapon sandbox adjustments and other interesting subjects will be covered in the next weeks. However, we can now talk about a new Rotator system for some of the game’s most difficult activities, like raids and dungeons.

Get ready for another fantastic start to the week! So, without further ado, shall we?

Dungeons & Raids

IF YOU SQUINT ONE EYE AND CLOSE THE OTHER, IT’S LIKE DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS.

The Master Vow of the Disciple, which will allow players to take Rhulk’s kicks to the face at a much higher fury, will be released next week, and we wanted to make sure everyone knew about it.

Guardians should be aware that the Power level is 1580, with a seasonal ceiling of +30, and that the difficulty has been increased. Progress towards the Raid Seal may be made by completing Challenges at Master difficulty. The Adept version of a specific weapon can also be dropped by completing each encounter in the raid.

It’s a fun method to ratchet up the difficulty of Destiny 2’s more difficult missions. Next week, on April 19, Master Vow of the Disciple will be released, so make sure you’ve completed any levels and have all your gear in excellent condition.

Yet there’s more to come.

Your desire to return to previously published raid and dungeon content has been voiced loud and clear by the development team as players continue their exploration of the Throne World.

We’re working on a new cycle of highlighted content for raids and dungeons in Destiny 2 that we hope you’ll enjoy starting in Season 17. Raid and dungeon content will be more appealing to players throughout the season, and there will be more chances to play with friends and clanmates as a result of this change.

Players will now have the option of choosing between Seasonal and Weekly rotators in our new Rotator system, allowing them to have a bit more variety in their weekly quests. Since this implementation is quick and easy, let’s start with our seasonal cycle.

New raids and dungeons will award Pinnacle awards for all battles each season. Take, for example, the impending [REDACTED] dungeon in Season 17 and the Vow of the Disciple questline. Raid rotators and dungeon rotators will also provide Pinnacle rewards upon completion.

With this update, any non-Seasonal raids and dungeons will have the opportunity to be included in the weekly rotation.

Interested in going back to the Vex from Garden of Salvation? Do it now! Do you want to face Riven in the final battle because you’re looking forward to the breathtaking (and nerve-wracking for gamers like myself who are prone to panic) spectacle? I know it’s weird, but keep up the good work. Grab a loaf of bread, quick.

What’s so special about rewards? A Pinnacle drop from a Weekly Challenge will be awarded for finishing the final encounter in any of the selected raids or dungeons for the weekly rotation. Any raid or dungeon with a higher level, such as Master Vault of Glass, will have the option to pick that difficulty if players are looking for an additional challenge.

What? You’re a fan of farming, right? With the new rotator system, we were able to get you there as well. Since all lockouts on the legendary gear in raids and dungeons have been lifted, all Legendary loot can now be harvested to your heart’s content.

Then, you may farm to your heart’s content while listening to some old-school music and sipping a warm beverage. Either way, it’s all up to you (and that’s the whole purpose!).

What’s Next | A Sneak Peek at the Patch Notes

We’ve reached the halfway point of the season, which means it’s time for some spring cleaning. We’re working on a nifty little failsafe for players carrying things in The Wellspring: Attack, fine-tuning Rhulk and his ilk in the Vow of the Disciple raid, and a few more Gambit improvements to keep Drifter pleased.

We’ve got a short patch preview to give – nothing significant, so don’t get your hopes up just yet – but here are some of the Destiny 2 adjustments you can look forward to until they go live later this month on April 19:

ATTACK ON THE WELLSPRING:

When an objective is accomplished with only a few seconds left on the timer during a Master Wellspring, an issue that might force teams to wipe wrongly was fixed.
A failsafe has been included to prevent carryable objects from spawning out of limits in both the ritual and boss phases of a Wellspring.

ALTAR OF REFLECTION:

Due to the Altar of Reflection not showing up properly, players were unable to finish the Evidence Board Quest Report: ALTAR-REFLECT.
Altar of Re-Appearance is a better description.

RAID OF THE DISCIPLE VOW:

Rhulk’s shyness was fixed, and he could no longer transition back to his original phase correctly, essentially stopping development.
The Caretaker’s dynamic health threshold UI was not consistently displayed for all players, which was fixed.

OSIRIS’ TRIALS:

Fixed an issue where players weren’t getting the proper awards after winning a game with no flaws.

CHAT BY TEXT:

Console text chat now supports the use of a virtual keyboard.
Text chat messages have been improved to make them more readable.
Added an italics System Message text field to show system messages.

The white hue of local chat has been replaced with an orange tinge to help distinguish it.
For in-game colorblind settings, a clearer chat color differentiation is available.

CREATING WEAPONS:

A consumable item that allows you to see Element counts has been added.
The Relic Conduit may be used to obtain this item.
You can discard and reclaim it at any moment because it is not a limited item

ARTIFACT:

Players who have unlocked all 25 artifact modifications can still reset the artifact for no extra Glimmer.
Resets are no longer free once all 25 artifact modifications have been unlocked.

ABILITIES:

When numerous targets were slain in short succession, Devour would occasionally offer less buff duration. This has been fixed.
Aim assist targeting has been added to enemy Axion Bolt secondary projectiles, allowing players to hit bolts that are following them and their teammates.

In addition to substantial stability and bug updates, the forthcoming patch will address Xûr’s incorrect stats for his items, and Rahool’s Destination Materials for sale will continue rotating at reset.

When these and other patch note items go live on April 19, gamers may expect a variety of changes.

Player Support Report

MOTH MAN AND HIS MOTH PLAN.

It’s that time of the week again when our trusty Player Support Team bestows their powerful knowledge on us in the most mighty of ways. At the very least, an easy-to-understand summary of known concerns and recent developments to be aware of.

They’re also simply plain awesome (but I may be biased).

In any case, here is their report.

GAME PASS FOR XBOX 360 AND PC

Destiny 2 and its add-ons (the Forsaken Pack, Shadowkeep, and Beyond Light) were removed from the Xbox Game Pass for PC on April 11, 2022. If you were using the Xbox PC Game Pass to get the Destiny 2 DLCs, you will have to do it again if you want to keep them.

An overabundance of messages.

New text chat adjustments have been introduced as of April 14, 2022, correcting a recent update in the game that led players to get a “too many messages” notice earlier than planned. As a result, more time may be spent on in-game communication, making it easier for fireteams to communicate, especially in raids like Vow of the Disciple, where several callouts are required for success.

The 4.0.1 update

The 4.0.1 patch for Destiny 2 will be published on Tuesday, April 19th. See our Destiny Server and Update Status page, as well as the timetable below, for maintenance timings and updates:

Maintenance for Destiny 2 begins at 9 a.m. PDT (1600 a.m. UTC).
After 9:45 a.m., Destiny 2 was taken down.
Update 4.0.1 for Destiny 2 will begin rolling out at 10 a.m. (1700 UTC).
The Destiny 2 maintenance period has ended at 11 a.m. (1800 GMT).

We’ve compiled a list of the known issues that will be addressed in Update 4.0.1:

Not all characters are eligible for the Synaptic Fanatic Triumph.
Not rotating regularly, the Lucent Executioners in the Throne World are obstructing the Ascendant Bounty Hunter Triumph.
Throne World chests are not tracked by the Combo Tracker and Wombo Tracker Ghost addons.
The shiny newness of new equipment lasts a long time.
After disassembling the seasonal curated shotgun, Reckless Endangerment, from Collections, it cannot be repurchased.
The Warlock Devour timeframe varies depending on how many foes you kill as opposed to just one.

GRANTS FROM THE PLAYER EMBROIDERY

Players who completed the Vow of the Disciple raid during the Contest Mode expansion will be awarded The Cleaver symbol. In the week of April 19, the emblem will be given to players who have qualified.

Missing Emails

Even after following the troubleshooting instructions we’ve provided, there are still occasional difficulties with players not receiving email notifications. Even though they’re still investigating the issue, the team has decided to take the problem straight on.

As soon as we can, we’ll let you know what’s next for emails.

WELL-RECOGNIZED CONCERNS

Destiny 2’s Known Issues article has a comprehensive list of the game’s most recent bugs and issues. Other difficulties should be reported in our #Help topic by players.
