While some people were delighted to see a Morbius picture, the reviews for the film were almost entirely negative. There were numerous reasons why people were dissatisfied with the way the film was assembled or presented.
The marketing team didn’t help matters by promising a connection to the MCU that never materialized. Then there was the fact that people began’memeing’ the movie so hard that Sony supposedly believed there was a fandom out there. While there has been some criticism against Morbius, there are still several ways to watch it.
It turns out that if they are determined enough, they can still rent a physical copy of the film. The last Blockbuster in the country has the film for rent, and it appears to have sold quite a few copies. There are 16 copies available for rent, and Morbius appears to be popular since a recent check by Twitter user Don McHoull reveals that six copies have been checked out.
For those who are unfamiliar with the saga of this Blockbuster location, it is the country’s last operational store after the firm closed thousands of once-popular locations. While this last store is also a tourist attraction, visitors can create accounts and rent movies. This includes the Morbius picture, which was largely a critical and financial flop.
There are a couple of intriguing observations from this last Blockbuster store, including the fact that the individuals running it thought Morbius would be popular enough to warrant making 16 copies accessible. Of course, it appears that the residents of Bend, Oregon are interested in the film, as at least six copies are checked out at any given moment.
This also demonstrates how much the store is still run as a legitimate retail chain. While there are many older films available for rent at this site, it also ensures that newer films such as Morbius are available.
