5 Most Popular Paranormal Activity Movies, which is Ranked

We evaluate each film in the found-footage horror franchise from worst to best after Paranormal Activity.  Look at it, shall we?

One of the most popular discovered footage franchises and horror movie series is Paranormal Activity. The setting of Paranormal Activity grew well-known for its slow but steady development and its capacity to frighten viewers with cheap scares.

Paranormal activity, as defined by the term, refers to unusual occurrences, skills, etc. that defy the laws of nature and human knowledge.

The success of the movie led to several prequels and sequels, which have been produced to varying degrees of critical acclaim. Nevertheless, the Paranormal Activity franchise is unquestionably one of the most well-known horror movie franchises. Let’s review the top five entries in the series before the eighth entry arrives.

The franchise’s subsequent movies cannot compare to the original. The found-footage horror phenomenon is embodied in Paranormal Activity, which isn’t hesitant to embrace the reality and nuance that give the genre its spookiness. Given that no subsequent installment has earned as positive reviews as the original, it’s feasible that the series wouldn’t even exist if Paranormal Activity hadn’t been at the forefront.

The reasons behind the torture perpetrated on Katie and Micah in the first movie are explained in Paranormal Activity 2. It explains why Tobi initially becomes attached to Katie and Kristie and ultimately focuses his possession efforts on Katie rather than Kristie. Nevertheless, Paranormal Activity 2’s history adds to the movie’s legacy while creating major plot holes.

Another excellent film to watch is Paranormal Activity 3, a prequel to a prequel that explores Katie and Kristie’s upbringing with their famed invisible friend, Tobi, who might later ruin their lives as adults. When it comes to the sisters, Paranormal Activity 3 serves as an origin narrative. Unlike the subsequent sequels and even its precursor, Paranormal Activity 2, the movie’s scares do a far better job of keeping spectators on the edge of their seats.

The fifth episode of Paranormal Activity is not the only main series film to divert attention from significant protagonists Katie and her sister Kristie, but it is the first to leave the series’s white suburban setting.

Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones brings much-needed variety and a sigh of relief to the franchise by having a Latino lead cast. The Marked Ones has a lot of heart and imagination, and while it temporarily sparked excitement in the series, it still struggles because four other movies have already dealt with this subject.

The 7th and most recent movie in the series, Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin, is the first one to be released that isn’t a prequel or sequel to the others. The action of the movie takes place inside the walls of the Asmodeus-worshipping commune, not in a sleepy neighborhood.

Although each film performed admirably in its way, none of them can compare to the horror classic Paranormal Activity.
