India’s Best Workplaces for Women 2022 honours organisations that promote gender equity and equality in the workplace and help realise the goal of making India a Great Place to Work FOR ALL. It recently published its fifth edition on September 22 and 23. Great Place to Work®, the global authority on workplace culture, has named India’s Best Workplaces for Women 2022 – Mid-size (Top 75) and India’s Best Workplaces for Women – Large (Top 100).
A research-based framework was used by Great Place to Work® India to assess each participating organization’s techniques and conduct an anonymous employee survey to understand all employees’ experiences. This methodology aimed to determine whether the organisation wanted to foster a gender-equitable culture for all employees.
After undertaking the aforementioned examination, additional qualifying requirements for all organisations include:
-10% or more of the workforce are women.
-At least 70% of female employees gave favourable comments on the Trust Index assessment, which is the Great Place to Work® Institute’s widely respected approach for evaluating employee experience.
The workplace experiences of women, (binary) gender parity in experience, and representation at all levels were also evaluated for eligible firms. As part of this research, 1122 firms were evaluated, and the top 100 were chosen as India’s Best Workplaces for Women in 2022.
Equity, impartiality, and non-discrimination serve as the cornerstones of The Best Workplaces, which instil a sense of justice in firms. They offer a growth-oriented environment with fair opportunities for women to upskill and increase their representation in the C-Suite. Work-life balance is prioritised in the Best Workplaces, according to research, with 84% of women thinking they are given the resources they need and are encouraged to manage their personal and professional lives.
Today’s women are heavily influencing how workplaces will develop, making them important drivers of economic progress. A fair and equitable workplace that values women’s contributions is essential if they are to function at their highest level.
As more workplaces become aware of this, they consistently endeavour to create an environment that is fair and impartial. Women are responding favourably to their work environment as a result, according to our data. This perception is significantly influenced by managers, who receive 7% more favourable feedback about their objectivity at work.

In addition, Wipro was commended for its enhanced efforts and attention to gender diversity in its workforce and the development of a workplace culture that promotes equitable opportunity for all. In line with this, the top spot on the list of the top 50 workplaces for women in 2022 went to the staffing and consulting firm SSi People.
It is crucial to acknowledge disparities and be aware of the varied obstacles experienced by women in the workplace to build the greatest working culture for them.
