Harley Quinn, a well-known adult cartoon series, will have a Valentine’s Day special.
Based on DC Comics characters, Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special will debut on HBO Max in February 2023. It will “show Harley and Ivy experiencing their very first Valentine’s Day together, while also exposing how the rest of the ragtag gang spends the gushiest, mushiest, most romantic day of the year,” according to the logline.
The voice cast for “Valentine’s Day Special” will feature Cuoco, Bell, Alan Tudyk (Joker/Clayface), James Wolk (Superman), Natalie Morales (Lois Lane), Matt Oberg (Kite Man), Chris Diamantopoulos (Aquaman), James Adomian (Bane/Clock King), Jim Rash (The Riddler), Vanessa Marshall (Wonder Woman), Rachel Dratch (Nora Freeze), Additionally, new characters voiced by Janet Varney, Leila Birch, Tyler James Williams, Josh Helman, and Casey Wilson will be included in the special.
After the third season of “Harley Quinn” recently concluded, HBO Max recently ordered a fourth. This is according to Variety. It was one of the planned DC-related films and TV projects that the Warner Bros.-Discovery merger did not result in the cancellation of.
Warner Bros. Animation is collaborating with Delicious Non-Sequitur Productions, Cuoco’s Yes, Norman Productions, and Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker’s Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special. Executive producers include Halpern, Schumacker, Dean Lorey, Jennifer Coyle, Cuoco, and Sam Register.
In August, the fourth season of DC’s Harley Quinn was picked up, with Sarah Peters as the new showrunner. She succeeds Halpern and Schumacker, who worked on the project with Dean Lorey in the beginning.
The television show, which centres on the psychiatrist-turned-antihero Harley Quinn (Kaley Cuoco), finished season 3 in September, and season 4 has already been picked up for production. Harley and Poison Ivy (Lake Bell), her best friend and love interest, faced enormous difficulties in Season 3, but they ultimately decided to keep dating.
Despite the two characters’ ultimate declaration of their love for one another, season 3 included some unrest in paradise that would eventually bring issues for “Harlivy.” Due to her intrinsic desire to help others rather than harm or kill them, Harley came to the realization in Season 3 that she is more of an antihero than a villain.
It’s challenging to envision how the two lovers will make their relationship work, despite their continuous commitment to one another, with Harley working fully alongside the Bat Family now and Ivy leaning into her bad inclinations by accepting a position to command the Legion of Doom. Season 4 has not yet been given a release date, but sooner than anticipated, fans may learn more about the coup.
