rick and Morty season 6 occasion 5
One of the simplest, stupidest, and worst Rick and Morty occurrences ever was last season’s Rickdependence Spray, which concerned itself with matters of Morty’s sperm turning mammoth and sentient.
The humor was nearly all of the gross-out variety and, well before the time everything achievement de grâced with Morty’s sperm
And one of his family’s eggs producing an incest baby had hit a point of dwindling returns. So it’s kind of surprising that “ Final DeSmithation, ”
another entry in the “ unapologetically dumb ” order of Rick and Morty occurrences that also happens to point to the conception of incest brewing over everything, is a lot of fun to watch.
It helps that, for one, the grosser stuff doesn’t pile on until near the end in the form of a big, nasty, fortune- cookie-pooping alien.
There’s also the possibility that Jerry might end up having coitus with his mama floating around for nearly the entire occasion runtime, but it’s only theoretical up until she shows up in the final act,
at which point events chance similar that we’re ultimately subordinated to Jerry and his mama’s blurred-out coitus organs having a near-collision.
Say, this was a fun paragraph, wasn’t it?
The central premise, though sparked by Jerry opening a fortune cookie at a Panda Express that foretells “ You’ll have coitus with your mama, ” is, unlike the sperm occasions,
a lot cleverer than it originally lets on, leading Rick and Jerry down a fortune cookie rabbit hole, climaxing in the discovery that the fortunes are being generated by the forenamed pooping monster as part of a grand scheme to control fate.
It’s funny; occasionally I got lost in more serious occurrences about the Central Finite wind and other similar sci-fi whatsit,
but it seems if you tie lofty generalities to stupid gibberish-like monsters that shit out eye, suddenly I’m a regular Stephen Hawking!
This is one of those occurrences where characters ramble off batshit high-conception stuff at speed, but ever, it’s all followable.
You can harness the power of the pooping fate monster by writing what you want to be on a slip of paper and also putting it inside a pooped-out fortune cookie? Got it.
Once you get a fortune from a cookie, as long as your fate hasn’t yet come to pass, you’re effectively immortal. Makes sense to me.
The old joe who takes care of the pooping monster put a bunch of “ You’ll have coitus with your mama ” fortunes out into the world in expedients someone would come probe and liberate him and the monster from their forced labor?
There’s a footloose, absurd cleverness throughout “ Final DeSmithation ” and it extends to Rick’s sci-fi powers.
As usual, Rick is enough well in control of the situation, killing baddies and dodging death without breaking a sweat,
but his styles this time are constantly delightful to watch. I don’t suppose Rick has ever been this Inspector Gadget– like ahead, with robotic implants extending from each over his body to get him and Jerry out of different bands.
From an extended- o- eye that reveals retired cameras to the capability to duck his head into his body to avoid pellets,
there’s a great prankishness to all of Rick’s sci-fi capacities this time around,
adding welcome charm to what could be more exhausting sequences of Rick painlessly killing everybody.
