Dian Parkinson, a veteran American supermodel, was given the name Dianna Lynn Batts on November 30, 1944, in Jacksonville, North Carolina. One of the longest-serving Barker’s Gems, she is most recognized for her 18 years (1975–1993) of employment on The Price is Right.
Whilst staying in Falls Church, Virginia, and vying as Diana Batts in the Miss USA 1965 competition, where she placed as the 4th sprinter, she was crowned Miss District of Columbia USA award in 1965 at the time of life of 21. Parkinson was named Miss World USA in 1965. Subsequently, she represented the United States in the international Miss World pageant where she came in second place to Lesley Langley of the United Kingdom.
Dian decided to alter her career’s course in the 1970s since she desired to seek a lucrative profession in sight of the media. She made multiple print ads, notably Cosmo, and she attended countless casting calls for small roles in television and movies.
At a minimum, two previous weddings existed for Dian (as well as a rumored 3rd marriage in her later years). When she married Robert E. Parkinson, the executive director of the Miss Universe Beauty contests, in 1967, she officially switched her last surname to Parkinson, but their marriage ended a few years down the line.
In the summertime of 1977, Dian wedded renowned Hollywood producer E. Duke Vincent. Numerous television programs, including Beverly Hills 90210, Charmed, and Melrose Place, include Vincent’s art. Somewhere at the time of the couple’s marriage, he was a tv producer, working on shows including Aloha Paradise, Strike Force, and Vega$. (which lead to Dian appearing in several guest-starring roles on the series).
Naturally, though, she and Bob Barker didn’t start seeing or having an actual relationship until the late 1980s, following years of relentless lighthearted flirting and toying.
