Nokia is making a comeback in the smartphone market with phones like the Nokia 6 and Nokia 8. Today, B&H Photo Video, an American retailer, leaked Nokia 2’s price tag and model number. It seems like Nokia is trying to cater users of all price-points with the Nokia 2. B&H Photo Video created a listing of the Nokia 2 on their website, however, it was taken down shortly. Still, thanks to the keen eyes of folks over at AndroidHeadlines, the page was screenshotted and some of the info about the phone got leaked from Google’s search engine cache.
B&H Photo Video’s listing confirms dual-SIM capability of the Nokia 2, along with a pocket-friendly $99 price tag. According to B&H’s Nokia 2 page, the Nokia 2 will have model number “TA-1035”. It’s unclear whether the phone will come only in black color or feature multiple color options. No release date was specified either, it only says that the product is “coming soon”. There’s also no confirmation yet if the phone will be available in single-SIM version.
Many other rumors also back-up the model number “TA-1035”, as specified by B&H Photo Video. However, a bunch of other reports/leaks also indicate that “TA-1007”, “TA-1023” and “TA-1029” could be the model numbers of the Nokia 2. As for the specifications, according to the Geekbench results of the Nokia 2 spotted some time ago, the Nokia 2 will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 210 chipset, along with Adreno 304 GPU. It will have more than 1GB RAM (not confirmed yet), and a 720p 4.7-inch display. Rumors also suggest that it might have a big, long-lasting battery, probably over 3500-4000mAh in size. The price tag also seems legit, as the Nokia 3 is currently selling for around $140. As for the release date, experts speculate that HMD Global (Nokia) will release the Nokia 2 sometime before December 2017.
