Warning! What If…? contains spoilers. Marvel Comics’ Miles Morales #2
Miles Morales transforms into Wolverine in a fresh new What If…? narrative from Marvel Comics, and anyone afraid that his transformation might soften the original version’s vicious inclinations will be disappointed. What If…? gets a fresh look in a new trailer. Morales, Miles… As Wolverine, the hero transforms into a killing machine with a taste for death, making him one of the most sought men in the universe.
Miles Morales is a product of Marvel’s Multiverse, since his Spider-Man debuted in the Ultimate Universe before making his way to the standard Marvel Earth-616 reality. Marvel Comics has created a new series that imagines what would have occurred if Morales had taken a different route. Morales was introduced as the new Captain America in issue one. Miles Morales becomes a darker hero in a fresh look at the second issue of What If…? Miles Morales, as he acquires his own claws as the universe’s Wolverine.
What If…? has a whole new trailer. Morales, Miles… In John Ridley, Farid Karami, Chris Sotomayor, and VC’s Cory Petit’s Became Wolverine (H/T CBR), readers are transported to Wisconsin, where Sentinels are seeking Miles Morales. Miles’ Wolverine is told to surrender by the huge mutant-hunting machines because he is sought for the killing of Senator Drexel Walsh.
Wolverine, on the other hand, refuses to back down and shreds the Sentinels with his claws. Wolverine then explains in a monologue that he had wished to be left alone for decades, but that the Sentinels would not stop seeking him – and that he will not stop hating them.
The SHIELD operatives are on the quest for Wolverine, who Director Colcord describes as a monster who isn’t as youthful and innocent as he looks. As he ponders how he’s meant to murder Morales, he sent Agent J after him. Senator Walsh’s whole family is brutally murdered, and Wolverine is implicated. Later, Agent J is seen approaching Miles Morales and telling him to turn around, claiming that he doesn’t mind if he appears like a child. Wolverine answers by pulling his claws out of his sheath and telling him he’s not a child.
SHIELD may be pursuing Wolverine, but Miles isn’t hesitant to get his hands dirty in order to achieve his objectives and throw them off his scent. When Marvel’s new Wolverine from beyond the Multiverse appears in What If…?, readers will see him in action. On Wednesday, Marvel Comics’ Miles Morales…Became Wolverine will be available in comic book stores and online retailers.
